Do the cold, dark days of winter cramp your creative soul? Escape to balmy Florida to enjoy sunrises and sunsets, to photograph nesting birds, and to learn digital workflow. St. Augustine is an incredible place to photograph nesting wading birds and dozens of reptile species at the Alligator Farm rookery. Most nests are so close that a 70-300mm zoom lens is all that is needed. The beautiful architecture of the old historic section of downtown St. Augustine has been compared with Charleston and New Orleans. We plan to photograph all of these places and many others. But wait, there is more! This is your chance to learn digital workflow. The classroom time will be geared towards learning digital capture, shooting in RAW, optimizing your images with Photoshop, learning layers, studying selections and even some digital voodoo. You will be able to shoot your images in the morning and learn the best way to optimize your images in the afternoon. Don’t forget your sunscreen.
